San Jose State University, WestEd, Green Ninja, and CSU Northridge are collaborating on a research initiative which aims to transform middle school science education and improve outcomes for students. This would take place over the course of five years which would involve a randomized controlled trial with 80 schools to evaluate the impact of the AI-enhanced Green Ninja curriculum on student achievement, engagement, and teacher efficacy. This project is funded by a $10 million grant from the US Department of Education’s Education Innovation and Research Program.
