About the role:
The Talent Acquisition Manager plays a critical role in building the leadership and workforce engine that will fuel Veridian’s national growth. This leader oversees full-cycle recruitment strategy for high-volume labor roles, skilled trades, market leaders, and key corporate functions. They will design scalable processes, build a candidate pipeline, enhance employer brand positioning, and ensure every candidate interaction reflects the Veridian Way.
This role is both strategic and hands-on, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-growth environment, enjoys building, and is passionate about hiring exceptional people aligned to culture and performance.
What you'll do:
Recruiting Strategy & Execution
- Build and manage the full-cycle recruiting process across multiple markets (Houston, Austin, Dallas, future states).
- Build short-term and long-term workforce plans aligned to acquisition, greenfield launches, and seasonal demands.
- Develop recruitment strategies for trade positions, leadership pipelines, and emerging development programs (GM/ Market President track).
- Lead intake meetings, interview calibration, and expectation setting with hiring managers.
Employer Branding & Talent Marketing
- Enhance Veridian’s employer brand across digital platforms, job boards, and community partnerships.
- Partner with Marketing on content, campaigns, testimonials, and talent-centric storytelling.
- Strengthen relationships with military pipelines, trade schools, and community organizations.
Tools, Systems & Process
- Optimize TA workflows using ATS/HRIS (Rippling).
- Build dashboards, KPIs, and reporting cadence (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness).
- Develop interview scorecards, structured processes, and training for hiring managers.
- Ensure compliance in documentation, I-9, background checks, MVR, and state-specific requirements.
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise and coach TA Specialists/Coordinators and contract recruiters.
- Create performance expectations, clear career paths, and coaching rhythms.
- Champion a people-first candidate experience and a values-based selection approach.
Culture, Values & Experience
- Uphold Veridian mission and values in all hiring decisions and communication.
- Be an ambassador of culture—bringing “People First” and “Win as One Team” to life.
- Help ensure equitable, scalable, repeatable hiring that supports diverse perspectives and talent backgrounds.
What we are looking for:
- 3–7 years of recruiting experience; background in skilled trades, operations, or high-volume hiring strongly preferred.
- Experience building systems and processes during growth phases.
- Strong proficiency with ATS platforms (Rippling experience is a plus).
- Data-driven decision maker with ability to present insights to leadership.
