Director of Human Resources
POSITION PURPOSE
The Human Resources Director position develops, implements, coordinates and monitors policies and programs covering all aspects of employment activities and personnel administration for the organization. Directs benefit and wage programs. Monitors and interprets federal and state regulations affecting personnel administration.
MINIMUM MANDATORY qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years' previous working experience in all aspects of Human Resources functions.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership or related field.
Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of provider schedule management and utilization.
- Knowledge of the front-end revenue cycle process, including patient registration, government and commercial insurance processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, mediation, time management and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication, cultural competence and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact compassionately and effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EHR systems.
- Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
- A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers.
Preferred qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership or related field.
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Certification.
- One (1) to three (3) years of prior supervisory experience.
- One (1) to three (3) years of previous hospital experience.
- Knowledge of hospital accreditation certification.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
