Position Title: Bookkeeper / Human Resources Administrator
Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper / Human Resources Administrator to support both the financial and people operations of our growing organization. This dual-role position requires a professional who is comfortable managing payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and supporting the full employee lifecycle from recruitment through onboarding.The ideal candidate is proactive, process-driven, and experienced working within an HRIS platform while maintaining accurate financial records.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & BookkeepingProcess bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulationsManage Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliationsManage Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and payment trackingPerform bank and credit card reconciliationsMaintain general ledger accuracy and assist with month-end closeSupport audits and provide financial documentation as neededEnsure compliance with internal controls and accounting best practicesHuman Resources AdministrationManage employee data within the companys HRIS systemSupport recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate coordination, and applicant trackingFacilitate new hire onboarding, including offer letters, background checks, benefits enrollment, and new hire documentationMaintain employee records in compliance with federal and state labor lawsCoordinate benefits administration and employee changesAssist with policy updates and HR compliance initiativesServe as a point of contact for employee payroll and HR-related inquiries
Qualifications3+ years of experience in bookkeeping and/or HR administrationProven experience processing payrollStrong experience with AP and ARExperience working within an HRIS system (e.g., ADP, Paychex, BambooHR, UKG, etc.)Familiarity with federal and state employment lawsProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle confidential information with discretion
Preferred QualificationsAssociates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related fieldExperience in a small to mid-sized company environmentExperience managing multi-state payroll (if applicable)
