The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations while serving as a key resource for employees and management. This role will handle a broad range of HR functions including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, training, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate is bilingual, detail-oriented, and experienced in a fast-paced construction or manufacturing environment.
Serves as the main point of contact for employee relations issues; provides guidance and support to employees and managers; addressing employee concerns and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
Administers and supports HR programs including recruitment, onboarding, orientation, training, and offboarding
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
Maintains accurate employee records and HRIS data.
Management of day-to-day HR data associated with employee’s records.
Maintain and organize company records, ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality.
Conduct regular in-house audits to ensure accuracy of employee data.
Coordinates benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee inquiries.
Supports performance management processes and investigations as needed.
Translates HR communications and policies as needed to support a bilingual workforce.
Partners with management to support workforce planning and employee engagement initiatives.
Participates in audits, safety meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.
Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
Proven ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Conflict resolution and employee relations skills.
Proficiency with HRIS systems (Netchex, Paylocity) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with hourly and salaried employees preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.
Experience in construction or manufacturing industry strongly preferred.
Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
Experience managing FMLA and Worker’s Compensation cases preferred.
SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification is a plus.
Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
The position requires the ability to communicate effectively with individuals in person and via telephone to exchange information and instructions. The role also requires the ability to clearly convey detailed and time-sensitive instructions or ideas.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
This is a full-time position; the work schedule is 8:00am- 5:00pm, Monday – Friday; onsite, in a Corporate office environment.
Some travel may be required for this position (<10%)

Pay Range: USD $60,000.00 - USD $65,000.00 /Yr.
