The EMR, Training Specialist II, in support of their assigned Epic application(s) and across all UF Health locations, participates in new and ongoing training initiatives. This role assists in coordinating and delivering Epic training for system upgrades, new projects, new user onboarding, and ongoing education, including curriculum development.
The Training Specialist II collaborates closely with ITS Epic Clinical and Business Analyst teams, Credentialed Trainers, Super Users, and end users to promote efficient and effective training delivery and adoption. This role also helps guide and support Credentialed Trainers and Super Users to ensure consistency and quality across training efforts.
The Training Specialist II is expected to have a working understanding of Epic system functionality and/or departmental workflows as they relate to the supported application(s). Strong planning, communication, and relationship-building skills are required, along with the ability to maintain a flexible schedule to meet customer and operational needs.
While this position primarily supports one service area or location, the Training Specialist II may be required to provide training and application support at any UF Health location based on organizational needs and as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:Education and Experience:
An Associate’s Degree (AA or AS) from an accredited college or university plus three (3) years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the required experience.

Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and training software.
Epic Certified Trainer status, including Application Curriculum Certification, within six (6) months of hire or transfer into the role.
OR Epic Credentialed Trainer status with five (5) years of application training experience may be accepted in lieu of Epic Certified Trainer status.
