Overview:
The Director of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for the overall management of the functional department that performs the sourcing, screening, recruitment, and placement of talent at Chord Specialty Dental Partners locations across our practice brands and geography.

Job Summary: The Director of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for the overall management of the functional department that performs the sourcing, screening, recruitment, and placement of talent at Chord Specialty Dental Partners locations across our practice brands and geography. This role will report to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition and work very closely with both the company’s Leadership team and the Operations teams to ensure both current and future projected staffing needs are addressed and met.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an effective and scalable strategy to create a consistent talent pipeline in support of the company’s growth strategy.
- Manage, coach and support a team of 5 – 6 talent acquisition professionals responsible for recruiting both provider and non-provider talent.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures for the workflow of the team.
- Develop metrics, monitor and measure team productivity and performance to drive results that align with the needs of the business and improve time to fill and retention.
- Maintain consistent communication with the VP of Talent Acquisition, Executive Leadership team and the Operations team through regular reporting and staffing meetings to provide updates on candidate pipelines.
- Assist team in sourcing and screening candidates using recruitment tools and techniques as needed to meet the staffing needs of the business.
- Oversee a school and residency outreach strategy that will expand the network of talent and improve the organization’s brand recognition nationwide.
- Assist teams in coordinating and facilitating virtual and in-person educational events (i.e. Lunch and Learns, dinners) with students to foster and nurture relationships for the purpose of attracting talent.
- Partner with the in-house legal department to ensure team compliance when negotiating and finalizing employment agreements.
- Partner with the Human Resources and Credentialing departments to ensure team compliance with standard operating procedures when onboarding new employees.
- Partner with the Marketing department on the digital recruitment marketing strategy.
- Maintain communication with third party vendors related to recruitment including external counsel for immigration support, job boards and third-party staffing firms.
- Up to 25% travel to attend dental industry hiring events and conferences to market the employer brand and attract talent.
- Up to 5% travel to visit members of the team, dental offices and the Home Office.
- Assist in the assessment, implementation and improvement of existing recruiting tools and resources.
- Make recommendations for new tools to improve the effectiveness of the talent acquisition function.
- Assist in the training and support of operations in using talent acquisition tools and resources such as the applicant tracking system, assessment tools etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Nashville, TN based, required
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
- At least five (5) years of experience specifically recruiting healthcare providers
- Experience recruiting dentists, highly desired
- Eight (8) years of proven ability to lead and manage direct-report employees to achieve departmental and organizational goals
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proven ability to negotiate contract terms and get deals across the “finish line” for both parties
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with leadership staff at all levels of the organization, as well as contacts outside the organization
- Excellent public speaking & presentation skills, including communicating directly with, and presenting to, members of the Boards of Directors, private equity sponsors, C-suite executives, and other members of senior management
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple objectives/responsibilities
- Weekend/evening ability (as needed for special events)
