UF Health is seeking a strategic and collaborative Human Resources Business Partner to join our Gainesville team. This role partners with market leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals, drive workforce engagement, and ensure compliance and operational excellence.
The HR Business Partner will work closely with HR Centers of Excellence, including Talent, HR Operations, Total Rewards, and Employee & Labor Relations, to provide integrated HR solutions for both clinical and non-clinical teams across multiple facilities. This is a hands-on, strategic role that supports leaders in workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, and performance initiatives, ensuring our teams are empowered to deliver exceptional care.
Human Resources Business Partner – Gainesville, FL (On-Site)
Location: Gainesville, FL – On-site required
Reports To: VP of Human Resources
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with market executives and operational leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business objectives.
Serve as a trusted advisor on organizational design, culture, and change management initiatives.
Support recruitment strategies for critical roles and succession planning for leadership positions.
Analyze workforce trends and recommend actions to optimize staffing and retention.
Works with Employee and Labor Relations to provide guidance on complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations.
Works with Talent Management to partner with leaders to implement performance management processes and leadership development programs.
Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement and promote a positive work environment.
Partner with HR COEs (e.g., Talent, Total Rewards, HR Operations, Employee & Labor Relations) to deliver integrated HR solutions.
Act as a liaison between market leadership and COEs to ensure alignment of programs and services with market needs.
Provide feedback to COEs on program effectiveness and recommend enhancements for continuous improvement.
Monitors and incorporates HR metrics (turnover, engagement, staffing levels) and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree required; or four (4) years of relevant leadership experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a strategic HR business partner role within healthcare or a complex, multi-site organization.
Certifications: PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.
