The Enterprise Epic Training Specialist III Principal, relating to their supported application(s) and for all UF Health locations, participates in and leads new and ongoing training projects; is responsible for coordinating all phases of Epic training for upgrades, new projects, new users, and ongoing support and education, to include curriculum development and MST/ACE environment build; collaborates with Informatics and Application teams; guides and is responsible for efficient and effective training by Certified and Credentialed Trainers and Super Users. The Training Specialist must have a clear and full understanding of Epic system functionality and/or departmental workflows as they relate to the supported Epic application(s). The Training Specialist must have strong planning, analytical, communication, leadership and relationship skills and maintain a flexible schedule to meet customer needs. The Training Specialist supports the application(s) at all UF Health locations based on need and as assigned by their manager.

Lead enterprise-level upgrades and new project initiatives
Coordinate Epic training programs and ongoing enterprise education
Design and maintain training environments and curriculum for clinical and non-clinical users
Collaborate with Clinical and Business Analysts, stakeholders, and training leaders to improve programs
Serve as liaison between application teams, training specialists, credentialed trainers, and super users
Supervise, mentor, and develop training specialists within assigned applications
Train and manage Credentialed Trainers and Super Users across supported departments
Perform additional duties as assigned within role scope
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of relevant work experience required
An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree
Ability to work independently in a team-oriented, high-productivity environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and leadership
Demonstrated ability in decision-making, change management, and facilitating transitions
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to mentor and guide team members and peers
Ability to represent the organization as a knowledgeable Epic subject matter expert
Familiarity with information flow within a major healthcare facility
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and training software
Epic Principal Trainer status

(Certifications required within six (6) months of hire or transfer into role)
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in application training and/or curriculum planning and development
Experience developing Epic training environments
Curriculum planning and development for new workflows
Experience managing people
