Overview:
Targeted Victory is looking for an individual with education, interest, and/or experience in Human Resources to join our team as an HR Operations Intern to support the HR team in maintaining systems, analyzing workforce data, supporting benefits and payroll processes, and assisting with internal HR initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, enjoys solving problems, and is comfortable jumping in to help wherever needed. This person should be highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Applicants must be able to work in person at our Arlington, VA office.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and audit HR data across internal systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Create and maintain HR reports and dashboards related to employee data, compensation, performance reviews, and workforce analytics
- Assist with analysis of HR metrics including headcount, attrition, compensation trends, and performance review outcomes
- Support HR systems administration, including data entry, reporting, and system testing for new tools or updates
- Assist with benefits administration processes, including employee inquiries, data audits, and coordination with vendors
- Support payroll and benefits processes by reviewing and validating HR data and assisting with reconciliations
- Assist in maintaining HR documentation, internal resources, and HR knowledge base materials
- Draft and support HR communications related to benefits, programs, and internal initiatives
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing operational efficiencies across HR processes
- Provide general support for HR initiatives and day-to-day operations, including assisting with onboarding tasks, HR processes, and other team needs as they arise
Qualifications:
This position is for individuals who are self-starters, highly organized, and interested in gaining experience in HR operations and analytics. The ideal candidates will have:
- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication, Organizational Studies, or related field
- Interest in Human Resources
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Ability to take initiative, think critically, and proactively identify solutions
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Flexibility to support changing business needs
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues at all levels
- Ability to prioritize and excel in a fast-paced environment; time management and organization are a must
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
