About the role
Exceptional technology requires exceptional advocates. We are looking for a specialized Talent Acquisition Partner to lead the recruitment of our US Defense Go-To-Market (GTM) team. This role will start as a contractor and might be extended depending on the growth of our business.
This isn't a generalist recruiting role. You will be tasked with identifying and headhunting the 1% of sales professionals who possess a rare combination: deep technical fluency in sensors/robotics and an elite, "Day 1" network within the DoD, Pentagon, and major Defense OEMs. Your success will directly impact our ability to embed Advanced Navigation technology into the next generation of US military Programs of Record.
What you’ll do
Strategic US Defense Sourcing: Own the full-cycle recruitment for high-impact roles including VP of US Defense, Technical Sales Directors, and Capture Managers.
Network-Centric Recruiting: Proactively headhunt talent from top-tier defense firms (e.g., Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, etc) where a strong existing network is a prerequisite for the role.
Technical Calibration: Partner closely with US Leadership to define and assess "Technical Sales" personas—ensuring candidates can talk "PNT and GNSS" with engineers and "Capture Strategy" with executives.
FOCI & SSA Compliance: Manage recruitment processes within the specific requirements of our US expansion, including familiarity with security clearance requirements (Secret/Top Secret) for key personnel.
Data-Driven Strategy: Leverage recruitment insights to map the US Defense talent landscape, identifying key hubs like Huntsville, DC, and Los Angeles.
Candidate Experience: Deliver a high-touch, sophisticated experience for senior-level executive candidates who are leaders in the defense community.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Defense Industry Expertise: Proven track record of hiring top-performing sales and BD professionals specifically within the US Defense Primes and Government procurement sectors.
The "Technical Sales" Lens: Direct experience recruiting for complex, long-cycle consultative selling environments (Robotics, Sensors, Aerospace, or Electronic Warfare).
Niche Sourcing Mastery: Expert in "thinking outside the box" to identify candidates with active security clearances and verified histories of winning multi-million dollar DoD contracts.
Persona Depth: Deep understanding of the US Defense talent market, including the nuances between FMS (Foreign Military Sales), DCS (Direct Commercial Sales), and Program of Record capture.
Stakeholder Management: Confidence in advising senior US Defense leaders on market trends, salary benchmarking, and talent availability.
Tools: Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, InMail, and modern ATS platforms (ideally Rippling).
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills; ability to represent Advanced Navigation’s "Deep Tech" mission with credibility.
Efficiency: High attention to detail and a "bias for action" in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
