Summary:
The On-Site Human Resources Coordinator (OHRC) serves as a key liaison between employees, supervisors, and HR leadership to support a wide range of human resources functions. The OHRC is responsible for addressing employee concerns, guiding compliance with HR policies, leading onboarding and exit processes, and contributing to a positive and compliant workplace culture. This role plays a critical part in fostering employee engagement, managing employee relations, and driving HR initiatives aligned with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to employee concerns related to working conditions, grievances, misconduct,
and policy interpretation.
Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related topics and company policies.
Conduct or assist in preliminary employee relations investigations and recommend corrective actions.
Communicate important HR updates, procedural changes, and policy revisions to staff and supervisors.
Address daily HRIS/payroll-related inquiries from management and employees.
Review and monitor misconduct or performance issues and collaborate on resolution strategies.
Conduct new hire check-ins to assess integration and satisfaction; facilitate team orientation sessions.
Monitor staffing gaps, particularly in craft labor roles, and escalate hard-to-fill positions.
Support employee retention strategies through analysis of feedback and turnover data.
Analyze trends in headcount, turnover, staffing, and employee relations issues.
Lead and document exit interviews; summarize and report trends to leadership.
Partner with leadership to develop and support training programs aligned with organizational goals.
Assist in drafting internal communications and employee announcements (e.g., via SpeakApp).
Coordinate HR-related campaigns including benefits enrollment, safety initiatives, and engagement programs.
Handle confidential documentation including disciplinary actions and personnel files.
Serve as the main point of contact for employee HR concerns and inquiries.
Provide guidance on attendance, tardiness, and minor infractions upon supervisory request.
Assist employees with navigating HR systems such as ADP (pay stubs, time entry, benefits).
Collaborate with HR Generalist on complex employee relations issues and investigations.
Support safety culture integration by partnering with safety teams and participating in audits.
Ensure proper documentation for employee relations issues is maintained and audit ready.
Participate in regular HR check-ins and syncs with the HR Generalist.
Identify and report trends in grievances and minor infractions to proactively address concerns.
Conduct audits of compliance postings and required HR documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Ability to travel 10% of the time to job sites.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
3+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, particularly in employee relations or HR generalist roles.
Strong understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee issues.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
