About the Role

As an Assistant HR Manager, you will have several areas of HR to coordinate or administer, not limited to recruitment, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations, HR data systems, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws. HR team members ensure that all HR operations run smoothly and effectively for the benefit of their clients - our employees.

This position supports our Transportation Teams across the country.

What You'll Do

You will work with other People First team members, program managers and staff at all levels in the organization. You will have experience working well through business ambiguity in a fast-paced working environment, and expected to maintain a high-level of confidentiality.

Work Location: Onsite in Santa Fe Springs, CA

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement is 5 years experience, otherwise the preference is a degree in Human Resources AND a year of generalist or payroll processing experience.
• Strong background/experience in recruitment.
• Aptitude and experience managing people-related matters.
• Prior work experience establishing and maintaining vendor accounts.
• Prior work experience overseeing HR programs or projects.
• Prior experience with onboarding and new hire orientation, as well as experience with off-boarding.
• Proficient in Microsoft tools such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word, etc.
• Prior industry experience (preferred): healthcare, transportation, service, restaurant or retail.
• This salary is a starting point, not a guarantee of your final pay. Your offered pay will be tailored to your experience, education, and other qualifications. The company may adjust job descriptions to meet the evolving needs of our operations.
• Acceptable background screens, which include but is not limited to criminal check and employment credit check screening.
• Valid Authorization to work in the U.S.

• Lift up to 50 LBS, push up to 150 LBS
