SmartStart Education is seeking a Talent Engagement & Social Media Coordinator to support our Talent Operations team by managing the company's social media presence and engaging with prospective tutors online. This role focuses on content creation, participation in education and tutoring communities, monitoring engagement, and helping funnel qualified tutor leads to the Talent Operations team. This position plays an important role in strengthening SmartStart's online presence while supporting tutor recruitment efforts across the organization. The role reports to the Director of Talent Operations and works closely with Talent Operations Coordinators to support outreach and engagement with prospective tutors. Schedule Part-time (20–30 hours per week) Fully remote Flexible scheduling during standard business hours Key Responsibilities Social Media Management Create and schedule social media posts aligned with recruitment and engagement strategies Monitor company accounts and respond to general inquiries Participate in tutoring, education, and job-seeking social media groups Identify potential tutor candidates and refer them to the Talent Operations team Content & Brand Support Design graphics for social media and recruitment announcements Draft engaging posts highlighting tutor opportunities and company updates Create short video posts and updates using Vidyard to promote tutoring opportunities and company messaging Maintain consistent branding and messaging across platforms Talent Pipeline Support Monitor messages, comments, and group activity for potential tutor leads Direct candidate inquiries to the appropriate Talent Operations Coordinator Assist with posting open tutoring roles across social platforms and groups Analytics & Reporting Track engagement metrics such as reach, interactions, and follower growth Share periodic updates with the Talent Operations team Suggest improvements to increase tutor engagement and applicant flow Qualifications Experience managing social media accounts for a business or organization Strong written communication and attention to detail Graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools Ability to work independently in a remote environment Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple platforms Familiarity with LinkedIn, Facebook Groups, or other online communities Experience in education, tutoring, staffing, or recruitment environments is a plus Experience tracking social media engagement metrics and using data insights to improve audience engagement Compensation details: 25-30
