Position Summary
As the Human Resources Manager at Piedmont Global, you will lead the company’s core HR operations with a focus on compliance, payroll, and employee lifecycle processes. This role ensures that all employee-related processes are accurate, compliant, and consistently executed, while also reinforcing a high-quality and scalable employee experience.
You will play a key role in operationalizing the employee experience by ensuring that programs are delivered effectively, consistently, and in alignment with company standards. This position partners closely with HR Operations & Analytics Specialist, the People Operations Specialist, and the Director of Human Resources to ensure seamless execution across the employee lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities
Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws (including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and other applicable regulations)
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures
- Lead internal audits and ensure audit readiness for HR-related processes and documentation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and escalations
- Oversee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and other statutory or company-provided leaves using our third party platform
Payroll Oversight
- Own end-to-end payroll accuracy, including final review, approval, and issue resolution
- Partner with HR Operations & Analytics Specialist to ensure data integrity and timely processing
- Conduct regular payroll audits and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws
- Manage payroll platform support tickets and escalations as needed
Employee Lifecycle Operations
- Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a consistent, compliant, and high-quality new hire experience
- Partner with the HR Operations & Analytics Specialist to operationalize onboarding program design into scalable processes
- Continuously improve onboarding workflows to enhance efficiency and employee experience
- Ensure smooth and compliant offboarding processes, including documentation and final pay coordination
- Monitor trends related to onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle touchpoints to identify areas for improvement
Risk Management & Reporting
- Identify and proactively mitigate HR-related risks
- Partner with HR Operations & Analytics to monitor key compliance and operational metrics
- Provide reporting and insights to the Director of HR on compliance, payroll, and lifecycle process trends
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in human resources.
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of human resources regulations in multi-state entities.
- Knowledge of federal HR compliance and ability to manage FLSA, DOL, FMLA, ADA, and other regulatory agency tasks.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Proactive communication style and problem-solving approach.
