About the role
The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for supporting a wide range of HR functions to ensure a positive employee experience and strong organizational performance. This role will play a key part in executing culture initiatives, managing compliance requirements, supporting talent acquisition, and driving performance and development processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Experience & Culture
- Support and execute employee engagement and culture initiatives, including wellness programs, recognition efforts, and company events
- Partner with leadership to promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture
- Manage administration of some culture initiatives
- Champion company values and help drive consistency in employee experience
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Support the recruiting team throughout the hiring process
- Schedule interviews and coordinate calendars between candidates and interview teams
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Interview and assess candidates as needed
- Create and send offer letters as needed
Onboarding & Training
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding programs to ensure a seamless new hire experience
- Maintain onboarding materials and ensure compliance with new hire documentation requirements
- Support training and development initiatives, including compliance and skills-based training
Performance Management
- Support the administration of performance review cycles, including timelines, communications, and system management
- Assist in enhancing performance management programs and tools
Compliance & HR Administration
- Manage state registrations, including new state setup and ongoing compliance tracking
- Administer unemployment claims, including responses, documentation, and hearings as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in an HR generalist or HR specialist role
- Some working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism

Hybrid Position - In Office 4 Days a Week
The pay range for this role is:65,000 - 70,000 USD per year(AA Medical Headquarters)
