The HR Coordinator will be responsible for providing direct support to the HR Business Partner and Employee Relations teams. This individual will assist the team in the overall development and delivery of human resources programs and services designed to meet the needs of the Institute. The HR Coordinator will participate in a multitude of HR related projects, mid/large scale initiatives, assist in problem-solving to effectively support both the team and designated business lines. This job is partial remote with 2 - 3 days onsite in Boston, MA each week. Remote work may only be performed from New England states (ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT). Employee Experience Support Serve as a point of contact, as needed, for HR’s Service Center to triage/troubleshoot/problem solve escalated policy interpretation, employee issues and other Oversee the processes and vendor relationships associated with emergency loan process, employment verifications, and division of unemployment claims. Manage electronic exit interview process and data; assist with providing analysis for clients as needed; conduct in person exit Interviews as requested. In collaboration with the Benefits and Well-being team, coordinate distribution of service awards to staff across the Institute. Assist with managing employee experience and logistics around workplace accommodation and leave of absences processes. Prepare offboarding materials and coordinate logistics as needed. HR Project Support Act as team lead for projects (based on fluctuating business needs) in collaboration with others across the team and Institute to complete assignments in a timely and effective manner. Serve as a key contributor to update, manage, re-design and maintain the team intranet site as needed utilizing a customer service and employee experience focused approach. Actively participate in Institute-wide projects that impact the BP and ER teams (i.e. employee engagement survey, performance management, enterprise resource planning, timekeeping management etc.) Use systems and tools to track and maintain appropriate data and metrics for team deliverables; may assist with drafting presentations for clients as needed under the guidance/direction of a Business Partner. General Administrative/Team Support Act as “Tier 1” support for Business Partner team; respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide interpretation and/or guidance as needed. Conduct intake and appropriate follow up under the guidance of the designated Business Partner team Draft correspondence using the appropriate templates including but not limited to employment related letters (i.e. request for accommodations, changes in employment etc.). Participate in coordination of logistics and support for compliance efforts such as Department of Labor poster regulations, The Joint Commission (TJC), Office of Federal Contract and Compliance Programs (OFCCP), Affirmative Action Planning and the HR Policy Review Committee. May schedule meetings on behalf of the designated team or provide backup calendar management for the Director of HR Partnerships & Employee Relations May Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred. 3 years of professional human resources and/or professional administrative experience; preferably within healthcare or higher education. Experience working with employee relations and/or compliance related functions preferred. Experience managing small projects and familiarity with data analysis preferred. Experience with complex calendar management preferred. Additional Knoweldge, Skills and Abilities Exceptional Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills and follow through including prioritizing, keeping track of information or work in progress, ensuring accuracy, attention to detail and multi-tasking. Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail. Some knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws in employee related practices including FLSA, FMLA, HIPAA, EEO, ADA, and other related compliance areas. Strong knowledge of human resources operations and best practices. Ability to self-motivate, be proactive, and take initiative, while working both independently and as part of a team escalating issues as appropriate. Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, independently seek out information and resources required to meet goals and deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain successful, collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization, achieve credibility and interact with others across the organization. Capability to deliver high quality work; act with a clear sense of ownership and handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
