The Talent Acquisition Leader at Daniel Defense, LLC will lead full-cycle recruiting initiatives to attract, assess, and hire top-tier talent across all levels—from hourly craft workers to executive leadership. This role partners closely with hiring managers and leadership to understand workforce needs and deliver strategic recruiting solutions aligned with company goals. In addition to recruitment, the Talent Acquisition Leader will support broader HR initiatives, compliance and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Talent Strategy
- Own the full-cycle recruitment process: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring for a diverse range of roles including hourly manufacturing, professional, and executive-level positions.
- Collaborate with department leaders to understand hiring needs and develop accurate job descriptions.
- Maintain and manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring data integrity and process consistency.
- Utilize traditional and creative sourcing methods including social media, job boards, career fairs, community partnerships, colleges, trade schools, and direct outreach to attract a diverse and qualified candidate pool.
- Build and maintain partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations to develop emerging talent pipelines.
- Manage internal mobility including transfers, promotions, and related processes.
- Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Coordinate pre-employment processes including background checks, professional license verifications, and employment references, etc.
- Serve as the main point-of-contact for candidates, ensuring consistent and timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Deliver offer letters and negotiate terms in collaboration with hiring managers.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline recruitment workflows, enhance automation, and improve the candidate experience.
- Define and continuously assess the structure of the talent acquisition function to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Oversee requisition management to ensure accurate job postings, hiring timelines, and communication workflows.
- Evaluate sourcing vendors for cost-effectiveness and return on investment.
- Stay current on recruiting trends and industry best practices; recommend updates to strategy, tools, or workflows as needed.
- HR Compliance & Reporting
- Support Affirmative Action Program (AAP) efforts including outreach tracking, applicant logs, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare and file federally required reports including EEO-1 and VETS-4212.
- Ensure all recruitment practices comply with applicable labor laws and company policies.
- Track and report on recruiting metrics and key performance indicators.
- Organizational Support & Collaboration
- Assist with onboarding and integration strategies to improve retention and employee satisfaction.
- Coordination and administration of onboarding logistics including preparation and distribution of welcome materials, site-specific instructions, and compliance documents.
- Coordinate employee performance review reminders and tracking (e.g., 45/90-day and annual evaluations).
- Serve as a subject matter expert and internal advisor on talent acquisition best practices and market trends.
- Promote the Daniel Defense employer brand through digital platforms, recruiting events, and community outreach to attract top talent.
- Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related area or a combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in full-cycle recruiting, with exposure to various hiring levels and functions.
- Experience recruiting in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative sourcing strategies and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically excel and Power Point), and ATS platforms (ADP is a plus).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including writing grammatically correct job postings, emails, and internal documentation.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Adaptable and flexible with the ability to shift priorities and respond to feedback in a dynamic environment
- Preferred:
- Proven experience recruiting across all organizational levels: executive, salaried professionals, and skilled hourly employees.
- Working knowledge of HRIS platforms such as ADP.
- Prior experience supporting Affirmative Action or EEO compliance.
- Ability to travel 10-15% of the time.
- Demonstrated ability to recognize and work within our Permission to Play Values.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the workday.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
