Manager, Human Resources
City: Albuquerque State: NMThis position will be open to internal and exernal applicants and will close on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
This position pays between $113,920.00 to $142,400.00 and is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.
About This Opportunity As a Manager, Human Resources at New Mexico Gas Company, you will rely on your functional expertise as a HR professional to execute on people strategies, provide guidance and support of complex initiatives, resolve diverse business issues and provide innovative HR solutions. The Manager, Human Resources, will lead a team of HR Generalists to deliver HR services to the company and be actively engaged in, employee relations, organizational development, performance management, HRIS, compensation, consulting with business partners and direct employee interaction.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage and lead the HR team by providing leadership, guidance and direction and ensure an exceptional employee experience.
- Recommend programs, initiatives, and systems in support of NMGC corporate goals as they relate to HR issues.
- Support all service areas across the state of New Mexico and partner with leaders in talent management, employee engagement and leading and retaining employees.
- Develop, implement and communicate direction of HR programs such as performance management, talent and leadership development, total rewards and employee engagement, labor and employee relations, compensation, and succession planning programs, processes and initiatives ensuring all service areas across the state are in alignment.
- Be a trusted advisor to performance coaches and employees in all aspects of HR and Talent Development including employee and labor relations, talent and performance management, employee engagement, conflict management, change management, communications and HR facilitation.
- Develop and drive strategy that builds an organizational culture that supports company objectives.
- Partner with cross functional and cross affiliate human resource and business leaders and teams to identify opportunities, recommend solutions and drive implementation for NMGC.
- Champion the organization’s culture of Inclusion and Diversity and lead efforts to ensure inclusion and equity in approach.
- Determine and recommend labor/employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
- Lead and oversee investigations in areas of responsibility and violations invoking disciplinary action when required; anticipate and resolve potential litigation risks.
- Lead communications for Company-wide rollout of HR initiatives, programs and projects.
Successful Candidate Must Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Experience: 8 years of Human Resources management experience, with experience leading and implementing talent and performance management initiatives. Previous employee relations experience a plus.
- Supervisory Experience: 3 years of supervisory experience. * Your resume must clearly identify this supervisory experience in the duties and responsibilities listed in order to qualify for this position.*
- Preferences: Master's degree, PHR, SHRM-CP or other HR-related professional certifications.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment. Occasional field visits where travel is required. Field visits may require personal protective equipment needed including but not limited to, safety glasses, puncture resistance boots, hard hat, worn while performing the function. May be required to work overtime and weekends depending on business need.
