JOB SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the support and execution of nationwide internal and external recruiting efforts which include a wide variety of responsibilities within Talent Acquisition. Full life cycle recruiting responsibility across the organization at a given time. This entails defining and clarifying roles with hiring managers, sourcing, interviewing, selection, pre-employment process and onboarding. Takes on routine and non-routine job duties applicable to the recruiting and hiring process that require fast response times and a high level of accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, define roles, and develop tailored recruitment strategies.
- Build and maintain a strong knowledge of the talent market, including industry trends, competitor activity, and sourcing networks.
- Leverage direct sourcing, internet recruiting, networking, employee referrals, and innovative strategies to identify and attract qualified candidates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in the applicant tracking system (ATS) to track recruitment metrics, candidate progress, interviews, offers, and onboarding activities.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, pre-screening, assessments, background checks, drug screenings, and generating offer letters.
- Develop and nurture relationships with trade schools, military bases, and other talent pipelines to attract diverse and skilled candidates.
- Stay informed of competitor insights, recruitment trends, and best practices to continually enhance talent acquisition strategies.
- Provide guidance to hiring managers on legal and compliance requirements related to interviewing, adverse action, ban the box, and other hiring practices.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
- Represent the company at recruitment events, including job fairs and networking events, to build brand awareness and attract candidates.

- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support recruitment goals and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education / Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, preferred.
Work Experience / Skills
- 3+ years of recruiting and sourcing experience for non-exempt and exempt level positions. Experience within the HVAC/R, construction, field service or skilled trades industries is a plus!
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working and managing an ATS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention-to-detail, ability to multi-task.
- Utilization of social media as a recruiting and recruitment branding tool.
- Willingness for occasional travel (branch visits, conferences, recruiting events, etc.)
- Ability to operate with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced work environment.
- Comfortable working independently and in a team setting.
- Solid knowledge of basic HR laws and regulations as they pertain to the hiring process preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow all company policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal laws.
- Proficient ability to use typical business tools including E-Mail, Word, Excel, etc.
