Customer Service Orientation: Provides a high level of customer service by responding to payroll inquiries, researching issues, and supporting timely and accurate resolution of payroll concerns.
Attention to Detail and Accuracy: Exhibits strong attention to detail and the ability to perform work accurately in a fast-paced, deadline-driven payroll environment, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
Organization and Time Management: Effectively prioritizes, organizes, and manages multiple work assignments simultaneously while meeting established payroll processing deadlines.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrates the ability to gather, interpret, and use payroll data to identify discrepancies, research issues, and support appropriate resolutions.
Process Documentation and Continuous Improvement: Able to document existing and new payroll processes, including proofreading and editing documentation in various formats, to support consistency and operational efficiency.
Collaboration and Relationship Management: Builds and maintains effective working relationships with internal partners across Payroll, Human Resources, Finance, and other business functions.
Payroll and Compliance Knowledge: Maintains working knowledge of payroll systems, payroll compliance requirements, and applicable union contracts, including support of union-related payroll and benefit processing.
Professional Judgment and Confidentiality: Demonstrates sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential payroll and employee information.
Working Conditions:
Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
