About The Role
The Human Resources Generalist is a salaried, full-time member of the Human Resources department responsible for providing comprehensive, day-to-day HR support across multiple businesses and brands within our corporate portfolio. Operating as part of a corporate shared services team, this role serves as a central point of contact for employees and managers on a wide range of HR matters, including recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and labor and employment law compliance. The HR Generalist will work 100% onsite, building strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and practices, and helping to create a positive, compliant, and high-performing work environment across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Serve as an HR contact for assigned business units/brands within the corporate portfolio, providing day-to-day guidance and support to employees and managers.
- Manage full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, and facilitating hiring decisions in partnership with hiring managers.
- Coordinate and execute a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, including pre-employment documentation, orientation, systems access, and integration into company culture and processes.
- Administer offboarding processes, including exit interviews, final pay coordination, collection of company property, and ensuring accurate and timely updates in HR systems.
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, including performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and documentation.
- Support payroll processes by ensuring accurate collection, review, and submission of timekeeping and payroll-related information; collaborate with payroll to resolve discrepancies.
- Administer and support employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, employee education, and coordination with benefits vendors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, as well as internal policies and procedures, across all supported brands and locations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR data within HRIS and related systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
- Assist managers with performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance reviews, corrective actions, and documentation best practices.
- Participate in the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs that support a consistent employee experience across the portfolio.
- Support HR-related training initiatives for managers and employees, such as onboarding sessions, policy training, and basic HR compliance topics.
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve the efficiency and quality of shared services support to the business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, Operations, Legal) to address employee-related issues and support organizational initiatives.
- Assist with HR reporting and analytics, preparing regular and ad hoc reports related to headcount, turnover, recruiting activity, and other HR metrics.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Approximately 5 or more years of progressive human resources experience in a generalist or similar HR role.
- Experience supporting multiple business units, locations, or brands, ideally within a corporate or shared services environment.
- Working knowledge of recruiting and full-cycle talent acquisition, including sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews.
- Hands-on experience with onboarding and offboarding processes and related documentation and systems.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, including providing guidance to managers and employees on performance, conduct, and policy matters.
- Practical experience supporting payroll processes and collaborating with payroll teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Experience administering employee benefits programs and communicating benefits information to employees.
- Solid understanding of federal, state, and local labor and employment law requirements and HR compliance best practices.
- Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS) and general comfort working with data, reports, and confidential employee information.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with employees and managers at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while supporting different brands and stakeholders.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to work 100% onsite, providing in-person support and partnership with employees and leaders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience (if applicable to your organization).
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred but not required (if applicable to your organization).
The pay range for this role is:62,000 - 76,000 USD per year(Dallas, Texas)
