The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as a subject matter expert while managing recruitment activities to strategically attract and secure top talent dedicated to the care of OU Health’s patients. This role acts as an advisor to hiring managers, candidates, and the Talent Acquisition team. Key responsibilities include identifying and utilizing effective recruitment tools to build candidate pipelines, collaborating with hiring managers to understand and support organizational and business needs, developing and implementing targeted recruitment strategies, managing requisitions and job postings, ensuring the selection of high-quality candidates, and formulating job offers. Additionally, the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner provides guidance and mentorship to team members to support their professional development and success.

Excels in adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA) in recruitment is crucial for ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process
Stays well-informed of recruiting strategies and market trends to recommend processes to enhance the hiring process.
Develops and manages communication and marketing strategies to ensure talent pipelines for the organization.
Demonstrates excellence and sets the bar to ensure exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences including timely response to applicants, scheduling timely interviews and providing timely updates throughout the hiring lifecycle.
Collaborates with hiring leaders to identify expectations, clarify processes and understand talent needs to provide the most qualified, best fit candidates.
Partners with hiring leaders to create and execute tailored recruitment strategies by leveraging market knowledge and internal metrics to include posting jobs through internal and external media, utilizing advanced sourcing techniques to identify qualified passive and active candidates, and use of emerging technology to attract diverse and qualified talent for hard-to-fill and time-sensitive roles.
Identifies qualified candidates for vacant positions by screening resumes, conducting interviews by phone, in person or virtually.
Partners with HR Leadership to identify and develop productive, cost-efficient relationships with staffing agencies and external search firms. In coordination with Leadership, oversees vendor relations.
Ensures accurate information in the Applicant Tracking System to maintain compliance with organizational policy, procedures and state and federal employment laws. Utilizes metrics to drive decision making.
Calculates and negotiates job offers to the hiring manager’s selected candidates. Manages the counter-offering process ensuring proper approvals and communication.
Communicates declinations to candidates in a positive manner. Assists strong candidates in finding other opportunities at OU Health that align with their skills and qualifications.
Drives collaborations with other teams across OU Health to ensure hired candidates have a positive onboarding experience.
Actively and constructively participates in team meetings, strategy sessions, participates in professional development activities, and SLA/KPI reviews to improve results and share market insights.
Serves as a lead to other team members providing support, training, guidance and mentorship. May assign day-to-day tasks and provide feedback on work product in collaboration with Leadership.
Identifies areas for improvement in the department. Partners with leadership to implement recommended solutions.
Develops and contributes to departmental strategic plans that provide long-term improvement and growth.
Ensures strategic and successful participation in recruitment activities including attending/coordinating job fairs, conferences, on-campus, and other special events.
Solves the most complex problems, escalating to leadership, when necessary, by providing and implementing solutions.
Contributes to policy and process development.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in recruiting and talent acquisition required.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required:
SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification at the time of hire or attainment within 12 months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Expert knowledge of medical terminology and health care practices.
Expert ability to use and develop Applicant Tracking Systems, experience with Workday preferred.
Demonstrates strong business and financial acumen and applies that knowledge to make informed business decision.
