In 2025, a facility in Covington, Georgia, became the first in U.S. history to produce commercial-scale, technical-grade lithium entirely from recycled battery materials. R3 Lithium acquired the facility in 2026 and retained the leadership team responsible for achieving that milestone.
Today, we are investing to advance the facility into continuous commercial operation, with a clear mandate: to produce battery-grade lithium carbonate domestically, at scale, using recycled feedstock.
R3 Lithium is seeking an experienced Part-Time Contract Recruiter to support our growing hiring needs across the organization. This individual will manage full-cycle recruiting for a variety of positions ranging from entry-level through senior-level roles across multiple functions.
The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple searches at different levels simultaneously and can quickly understand the needs of hiring managers, develop effective sourcing strategies, and provide a positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process. Experience supporting executive-level searches is a plus, but the primary focus of this role will be recruiting for entry-level through senior-level positions.
This position is initially structured as a three-month contract, with the possibility of extending the engagement or converting to a longer-term opportunity depending on hiring needs and business requirements at that time.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for positions ranging from entry-level through senior-level roles across multiple departments and functions.
- Partner directly with hiring managers to understand position requirements, qualifications, priorities, and hiring timelines.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify qualified candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, and other recruiting channels.
- Proactively source and engage passive candidates for specialized and difficult-to-fill positions.
- Review applications, conduct initial candidate screens, and assess candidates against position requirements.
- Present qualified candidates to hiring managers and provide recommendations based on experience, skills, and overall fit.
- Coordinate and support the interview process while maintaining timely communication with candidates and hiring teams.
- Help maintain momentum throughout the recruiting process by proactively following up on interviews, feedback, and next steps.
- Support offer development and candidate closing in partnership with HR and hiring managers.
- Maintain accurate candidate and recruiting activity within the applicant tracking system.
- Provide regular updates on recruiting activity, candidate pipelines, and potential hiring challenges.
- Support executive-level recruiting as needed based on business priorities.
- Represent R3 Lithium professionally and provide a positive candidate experience throughout every stage of the hiring process.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting across a range of position levels and functions, rather than specializing exclusively in one type or level of role.
- Strong full-cycle recruiting experience, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interview management, and offer support.
- Experience proactively sourcing passive candidates and building candidate pipelines.
- Ability to independently manage multiple open positions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both candidates and hiring managers.
- Comfortable partnering with hiring managers at varying levels of seniority.
- Experience recruiting for senior leadership or executive positions is a plus, but not required.
- Experience working within an ATS and using LinkedIn Recruiter or similar sourcing tools.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining close communication with HR and hiring teams.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who can jump in quickly and operate with a high level of independence. Because hiring needs may range considerably in level and function, adaptability is important. The successful recruiter will be equally comfortable working on a high-volume or entry-level search one day and sourcing for a specialized senior-level position the next.
This role is a good fit for an experienced recruiter who enjoys variety, can build strong relationships with hiring managers, and knows how to keep searches moving without sacrificing candidate quality or experience.
Contract Terms
This is a part-time, three-month contract engagement. The position may be extended beyond the initial contract period or potentially converted based on the company's recruiting needs, business priorities, and mutual fit at that time.
