The Employee Badging Specialist coordinates and manages employee identification badges and access requests across the health system. This role is responsible for initiating access, producing badges, and maintaining accurate badge and access records for new hires, transfers, contractors, and current employees. Responsibilities include editing badge photos; printing and distributing badges; processing badge replacements; initiating FOB and badge access; maintaining badge inventory and equipment; and assisting with badge and printer troubleshooting. The position also supports the onboarding process by following up on incomplete Form I-9 requirements, assisting employees with parking registration, building New Employee Orientation (NEO) rosters, and completing other onboarding duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
The role works closely with Human Resources, Security, Information Technology, Onboarding, department leaders, and employees to support timely onboarding, badge creation, parking registration, and FOB distribution while maintaining compliance with employment eligibility, hospital policy, and security requirements.
This position requires strong customer service, attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in customer service, healthcare operations, security operations, badging, onboarding, administrative support, or a related field required. Experience working with badge access systems, HR systems, or photo identification software preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills required. Must be able to manage confidential information appropriately, work independently, and collaborate effectively with multiple departments and leaders. Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and Word required. Experience working in a healthcare or hospital environment strongly preferred.
