As a Human Resources Manager, you will lead the HR function in the local Atlanta office, including application of Firm policies, processes and procedures. You will provide guidance to all office personnel regarding various aspects of the employee life cycle, including recruiting and integrating new employees, compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, employee development, reward and recognition programs, coaching, discipline and termination. You will also participate and collaborate with the HR national team in areas such as recruiting, compensation, benefits, employee relations, HRIS, leave management, staff and paralegal evaluation processes, and national programs and initiatives across the Firm-wide offices.

On any given day, you will:

• Recommend and implement human resource policies and procedures for all Firm personnel
• Conduct orientation and oversee the on-boarding and integration process
• Collaborate with the national HR team on matters such as compensation, benefits and retirement, employee relations, HRIS, leave management, recruiting, performance management and timekeeping
• Provide guidance and training on employee management issues, such as coaching and counseling, employee development and retention, warnings, performance improvement plans and termination recommendations
• Partner and work collaboratively with the Office Administrator and leadership on the staff and paralegal evaluation process, including compensation recommendations
• Participate and collaborate on Firm-wide project management initiatives, such as updating job descriptions, job analysis, employee engagement and recognition programs
• Maintain local personnel files and process employee paperwork, such as personnel action forms, unemployment insurance claims, leaves of absence, etc.
• Prepare for employee departures, conduct exit interviews and track turnover analytics
• Stay up-to-date on all federal, state and local labor laws and industry news through ad hoc training programs, industry networking groups and memberships and participation in the Firm’s educational programs
• Participate in diversity, pro bono, civic and charitable initiatives
• Performs other tasks and projects as needed

• A minimum of 4+ years of HR experience, ideally in large or mid-size law firms with multiple offices. Previous experience managing a team preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree Required
• Demonstrates effective and excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to diagnose problems and identify appropriate interventions
• Must possess effective interpersonal skills, analytical skills, time management, conflict resolution, and a proven record of influence and interactions at all levels of an organization
• Ability to set priorities and delegate in an efficient manner
• Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment
• Demonstrated experience with leading and supervising others
• Excellent computer proficiency in programs such as Workday, Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), ChromeRiver, etc.
