Position Information
Under the general direction of the VCSA, Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist serves as an influential and highly productive partner for Intercollegiate Athletics. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for a variety of duties to include recruitment support, office equipment inventory, game day staff payment processing, data gathering and analysis, personnel file management, and onboarding/offboarding. The Human Resources Generalist collaborates with the Sr. Human Resources Generalist to support clients, and the goals and priorities of Intercollegiate Athletics, ensuring UC policies and procedures are followed, all while maintaining confidentiality. This is a part-time position funded for two-years with a possibility of an extension based on funding. The full salary range for the Human Resources Coordinator is $29.21 - $ 51.15 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $38.31 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Minimum Requirements Has working knowledge of other areas of HR. Knowledge of organizational policies and procedures and knowledge of functional area. Analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations; demonstrates organizational skills and problem-solving skills. Has working knowledge of other areas of HR. Basic knowledge of human resources policies and programs, and how they affect other organizational policies and procedures. Knowledge of a human resources management system (HRMS), and/or other related business software programs and systems. Proficient in communicating clearly and effectively verbally and in writing and in integrating information in the completion of assignments. Demonstrated ability to handle difficult or volatile situations/individuals effectively. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, SharePoint) or similar database applications. Possesses ability to work collaborative in diverse group settings and with diverse populations. Ability to work independently as well as in a team oriented environment when needed.
Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of UCR personnel policies and procedures.
