- Compensation: Starting at $25.63 per hour, based on education and experience.

What You'll Do as a Clinical Recruiter
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates to assess their qualifications and fit for a range of healthcare positions.
- Use multiple recruitment channels — job boards, social media, and networking events — to identify and connect with potential candidates.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Collaborate with HR team members to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for critical and hard-to-fill positions.
- Track and monitor key recruitment metrics to inform strategic planning.
- Plan and coordinate recruitment events, both internally and externally.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, educational institutions, and community organizations.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve recruitment strategies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of recruitment policies and procedures.
- Assist in managing our contingent/agency workforce.
- Represent UNC Health Appalachian as an employer of choice at job fairs, industry conferences, and other events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Healthcare Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 1+ years of experience in recruitment highly preferred, ideally in a healthcare setting.
- Experience managing the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing to onboarding.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Licensure not required.
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred, but not required.
- Skills & Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of human resource laws, guidelines, and regulations (ADA, FMLA, FLSA, GINA, Civil Rights, OSHA, etc.).
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Physical & Work Environment
- Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer.
- Manual dexterity and mobility; near visual acuity.
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs. or greater.
- Occasional travel for recruitment events, job fairs, or meetings.
- Primarily office-based environment, with flexibility to work outside standard hours when necessary.
