JOB SUMMARY
The Recruiter is a professional responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates for open positions within the organization. The recruiter serves as the critical bridge between hiring managers and job seekers. Their role shapes the talent acquisition strategy of an entire organization.
The Recruiter manages complex hiring processes, attracts, evaluates, and refers candidates for open positions through recruiting websites, employee referrals, on-site recruiting, search firms and other sourcing methods. Develop job advertisements and screens resumes/applications. Contact candidates to ascertain fit, and schedules interviews and conduct interviews, assess candidate fit, and ensure every step complies with employment laws and regulations. Initiates onboarding plan for new hires. Ensures assigned positions are filled efficiently and effectively. May require a bachelor's degree in human resources.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develops, facilitates, and implements strategy to meet current and future hiring needs.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria in collaboration with HR leadership.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Post job openings across multiple platforms including job boards, social media, and company career pages.
- Source and attract candidates using databases, professional networks, and referrals.
- Screen applications and conduct initial phone or video interviews to evaluate candidate fit
- Coordinate and schedule in-person or virtual interviews with hiring managers; oversee preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders when needed.
- Assess candidate qualifications, skills, experience, and cultural fit.
- Manage candidate and hiring manager communications and maintain a positive experience throughout the process.
- Maintain and update the applicant tracking system and database.
- Ensure all recruitment activities comply with employment laws, legislation, and company regulations.
- Provide regular recruitment updates and data reports to hiring managers.
- Build long-term relationships with candidates and passive talent pools.
- Handle all recruitment paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Onboard new employees in coordination with HR and department managers.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Attends and participates in community engagement, college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care and/or financial practices.
- Comply with the hospital’s Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital, department and clinic policies and procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Education, Training, Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
- At least 2-5 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
- Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- The ability to maintain continuing education requirements and all certifications and licenses as required (e.g. ACLS, PALS, CPI, CPR)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
